Queer Crawley Heritage Project

The Queer Crawley Heritage project aimed to explore and document the lives and experiences of our local LGBT+ population - to capture what it means to be queer in Crawley, now and in the past.
The project took 2 years to complete and ended with an exhibition in Crawley Museum in 2024. We took the stories of 5 people in the LGBT+ community who live in the local area and edited them into a short video. We told the story of Crawley's LGBT history, had a selection of coming out stories from the Trans community, how Crawley LGBT CIC came to be and its progression so far.
This has all been documented on the Crawley Museum website and you can find out more below.
